Includes accounts of the organization's founding in the wake of the civil rights movement; its many legal battles against the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacist groups; its lawsuits on behalf of minorities, prisoners, children, women, the disabled, immigrants and other vulnerable members of society; its anti-bias education efforts; and its construction and operation of the Civil Rights Memorial.
