Newcastle upon Tyne, 2019. Phil Sturgess is doing well. His life is good and he's realised that turning sixty isn't all that bad after all. But when a message arrives from his forgotten past, Sturgess is once more thrown into his old existence. The Prophecy needs him, for the powers that rule the universe are readying themselves for the final battle. That battle will see either the Light or the Dark reign supreme, and Sturgess finds himself in the middle of the fear and horror that has haunted him for half his life. Sturgess must find the strength to rouse himself for one last encounter with the creature he fears and loathes above all else. Minstrel has returned once more.
